The logo design process

Here’s how the process usually goes:

1. Brief

We arrange a meeting (on the phone or in person) for an in-depth brief with a graphic designer. We’ll take into account any previous branding or artwork you’ve had made, information about your business, any outside influences e.g. other logos, websites or artwork you like.

2. Initial concepts

We produce a series of initial design mock-ups based on your requests and our input. These will normally be a logo ‘mark’ or two in a variety of shapes and orientations. We’ll produce as many variations as required until you find one that you like.

3. Fine-Tuning

Once you have a design you like we work on some variations of that logo – e.g. small tweaks to the style and shape, a change of font, or text sizes, different orientations etc.

You pick your favourite design or two and we produce a larger version for your consideration.

4. Colour

When you’re happy with the appearance of the new logo we will produce a set of colour variations for you to choose from.

As with all of our graphic design packages we will supply any file types you require once the process is complete. The artwork is normally supplied in formats suitable for use on the web (JPG), and also ready for print (EPS).
