About this project
Bruno’s website is designed mainly to showcase his work. Shortly before work was to start on the site Bruno commissioned a professional photographer to document his work and get some shots of him in his workshop. The stunning results are the cornerstone of the site and take centre stage on the homepage and galleries.
The visual style of the site needed to reflect the quality of Bruno’s craftsmanship without competing with the photography; in the end a simple layout was chosen with few ornaments and a large area at the top of the page for a slideshow and the gallery components.
A dark colour scheme was chosen to further emphasise the photography and on the homepage the images have been colour-treated to create a more integrated and elegant atmosphere. The slideshow shows successive stages in Bruno’s process: from the preparation of pieces of wood to the final installation.
